I found this new video game video podcast (say that three times fast) that is actually appealing. It is short, cruel, honest and funny.
The hosts consist of the obligatory sexy model-looking female (nerd fantasy come true "a sexy girl that plays videogames...ooohhh") and a cynical, dry Nick Nolte lookalike. They definately make it work in a Beuty and the Beast kinda way.
Together they review a single game in 4 minutes and if deserved, shred it to pieces in a sarcastic and savage way.
Some gems:
"The bonus weapons feature: A lazer beam, a Fire Beam and of course... a monkey strapped with dynamite!"
"You know when your parent´s told you that money can´t buy happiness? Well, they were lying to you."
"What happens when you shine up a pile of crap? You get shiny crap!"

The hot chick who plays video games is nothing new though, they've had a few on those on cable tech shows in the past; some became real celebrities (although I can't remember any names at the moment).
Will check this out
I know... that is why I put the "obligatory" as a descriptive.
It seems game shows feel they have to be gender balanced and of course it doesn´t hurt to have some eye-candy for the deprived masses.
